Very excited about our new line in photo albums. we have been busy designing these flat back style albums which hold overlay mounts. The pages are thick card {700gsm} and will be available in ivory or black. We will also have matching overl...ay mounts with a bevelled edge to hold either 1 8x6" photo { portrait or landscape} or 2 4x6" images. The overall size of the album page will be 12" x 12".
As the album pages are made by us, in Somereset, we can make to any size required. The album pictured has 10 pages.
These albums can be covered in any of our linen, silk or leather ranges. This one has been bound in Jade which is new silk soon to be added to our Tsarina Crush range.
I'll post more photos up soon when we get the overlay mounts in stock.

Our new albums have been developed by us, and made, by hand,
here in our Somerset workshop.
The linen and silk albums come with matching drop back boxes
The albums have 10 or 15 thick card pages { 700gsm} in ivory
or black and overlay mounts with bevelled apertures to hold either 1 x 6x8”
landscape or portrait photo or two apertures to hold 6x4” photos in landscape
or portrait format. {The apertures are slightly smaller in size than the
require photo}
The albums will arrive with the pages interleaved with card
spacers. These spacers are removed only when the overlay mounts are fixed in
place. We recommend using double side tape to attach the photos and
overlays. Photos can be mounted on both
sides of the page.
The albums can be bound in any of our linens, Tsarina Crush
silk or leathers.
Embossing in gold or silver is also possible
Making of a flat back album and box
A customer asked if we could keep a photographic record of the
making of their flat back album.
Card pages are cut, oversize, creased and folded.
Each page is glued out and laminated to the next fold. Card Spacers are placed between each laminated page
The book block is then trimmed, using a Guillotine, to the correct size and the spine is then re inforced with jaconette cloth and layers of paper
The box walls are made up and covered in cloth
The lid and try of the box are covered in oatmeal linen
The cases for the album and box are both made up ready for embossing
Brass type is set up ready for embossing on the album and box
Pragnant press with brass type
Silver embossing on both album case and box cover
The box is put together and ribbons are added
